Many people ask if they can go to a sauna after laser tattoo removal. We have summarized the criteria for judgment and the management methods to follow.

Skin Reactions After Treatment

Generally, the skin becomes sensitive after laser tattoo removal.

  • It may temporarily become red.
  • Swelling may occur.
  • Itching may appear.
  • In severe cases, it may show a weeping reaction.

It takes at least 3 to 4 days, and up to 1 to 2 weeks, for these symptoms to subside.

What to Check Before Sauna

Before counting the days, you should first check the condition of your skin.

If you have redness or itching, it is better to avoid saunas. This is because entering a sauna can worsen redness and itching.

Please postpone until your skin has healed.

Avoid Sun Exposure

After removal, the skin becomes sensitive. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can not only worsen itching and redness in that area but also potentially leave behind pigmentation, requiring additional treatment.

Methods for dealing with remaining pigmentation are summarized in Pico·Dual·Gold-Diamond Toning.

Keep it Moisturized

Please use appropriate antibiotic creams, moisturizers, and lotions. It is necessary to keep the skin moisturized and protected.

Avoid Hot Water and Irritation

It is advisable to avoid hot water and irritating environments. If possible, wash your face with lukewarm water.
