Splitting One Brow Tattoo Session Into Four Passes

The area around the eyes requires an increased number of irradiation sessions while minimizing tissue damage. There is a method that satisfies both of these conditions.

Many people wish to remove eyebrow tattoos. However, the area around the eyes must be handled carefully, so the approach differs from other areas.

We have outlined the process a dermatology clinic follows to remove eyebrow tattoos.

Why it doesn't disappear all at once

Eyebrow tattoos involve specific pigment substances deeply penetrating the dermal layer. Furthermore, they are usually created by combining multiple colors, not just one.

Due to these two conditions—depth and color composition—it is difficult to remove them completely in a single treatment. Typically, 3 to 5 laser sessions are required.

R-Zero Technique for increasing irradiation sessions

The R-Zero Technique allows for up to 4 laser irradiations in a single treatment session.

Normally, only one laser irradiation is possible per session. With the R-Zero Technique, when a white bubble phenomenon occurs after irradiation, a special medication is applied to remove the bubble layer, allowing for up to four irradiations at once.

Actual procedure

The steps for eyebrow tattoo removal are as follows:

  • First pigment removal with PicoWay Laser
  • Formation of a white bubble layer that obstructs laser irradiation
  • Application of a special medication to remove bubbles
  • Repetition up to 4 times, minimizing damage to the surrounding eye tissue

The key is to go over the same area repeatedly, clearing the bubbles between each pass. The treatment composition is detailed in the R-Zero Pico-Frectat Tattoo Removal guide.

Why PicoWay is used

PicoWay uses picosecond (PS) units. It delivers strong energy in a short time, which is advantageous for selectively removing pigments around the eyes.

ConditionWhy it's important for the eye area
Short irradiation timeReduces the chance for heat to spread to surrounding areas
Selective pigment removalLowers the burden on eyelid skin tissue
Up to 4 irradiations per sessionAims to reduce the total number of visits

If a different method is required, we may approach it with Nd:YAG Tattoo Removal.

What to consider before speed

While fast eyebrow tattoo removal is important, prioritizing minimal scarring is essential. We recommend undergoing treatment safely after a diagnosis by a board-certified dermatologist. Individual results and recovery progress may vary.
