Dr. Sang Ju Lee was invited to the 15th Japan-Korea Congress of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery held in Japan on May 30, 2023, where he lectured on scar treatment. The talk introduced laser-based, non-surgical approaches to scar care to plastic surgeons from Korea and Japan.
The lecture centered on the pinhole method, a scar laser technique that Yonsei Star Skin and Laser Clinic introduced to the academic community in the early 2000s. He explained how a high-power CO2 laser creates fine holes in scar tissue to induce skin regeneration, and shared clinical experience including burn scar cases.
